Up until a couple of days ago it had been awhile since we’d posted a mix from one of Canada’s finest A-Trak. Today we have a new mix from Trizzy for the label Fools Gold radio (which he is one of the co-founders of). As this is show number one we’re hoping it won’t be the last and could actually be a regular thing. Time will tell. Plenty of club tunes from an assortment of styles for those who like the smooth sounds of Disco House to those who are Tech House inclined and like their music on the bangin’ side.
Playing a bulk of tunes from the Fools Gold catalogue as well as treats from their affiliates, A-Trak keeps the party going fitting everything in nicely in the hour long set.

When I was in Miami a couple of months back I got to see Gaslamp Killer and A-Trak live. I’ve seen Trizzy a bunch of times (he’s always worth watching) but had never seen Gaslamp Killer before. He had to be one of the best DJ’s I got to see whilst in the States. Definitely the highlight of The Do Over (which was held in Miami). The energy and passion he displays in his live set was incredible. With that said here’s a quick recap of what went down when A-Trak and Gaslamp Killer along with Kid Sister went on the Magic 8-Ball tour (which like me, if you live outside of America would’ve missed out on). Kid Sister puts on a good show too, got to see her last year when she performed at the Creamfields festival. If any of the 3 are in your town in the future make sure you check them out.

Scion takes a trip to New York City, where they take a look at one of the world’s greatest DJ’s, A-Trak’s home studio. No fancy gadgets or excessive equipment, just a computer, a big monitor and some hard drives is all he needs. Simple but effective indeed.
Lately we’ve had some sweet tunes to cruise to, here’s another one to add to that playlist. A-Trak and G.O.O.D. Music member Cyhi Da Prynce colloborate on ‘Ray Ban Vision’ an ode to wearing the classic sunglasses everywhere. Ray Ban needs to cut these boys a cheque for this one.
