This release is pretty straight forward really, Tarmo and Sir Nenis know a thing or two when it comes to rocking clubs and festivals. They linked up and created three party anthem-like tracks and called the EP ‘Big Toons’. Simple but very effective. I thought I’d kick off today with something local that I’m very excited about. Sydney’s Adam Bozzetto releases his new ‘Distro Nox’ EP on Top Billin which drops next month. The release features 4 original tracks on the Disco meets Electro vibe. That is how the name for the EP came about, with the newly invented subgenre Distro (Disco/Electro) and Nox being latin for night. Perfect for Dancefloors from here to New York and everywhere between. To give you an idea of what the new EP will sound like Adam has whipped up a sweet minimix featuring the 4 tracks from the new EP. Along with that Adam prepares to head to the States for a series of gigs at the end of this month, the first one being at the Vanguard in LA with Flosstradamus, Franki Chan, Bentley Foy, Aaron Polyester and Funkthefresh. Today also sees the release of All Leather’s ‘I Wanna Fuck’ Remix EP which features a remix from Mr. Bozetto which you can check out and buy here.

When it comes to talent, there are no limits as far as finding it in one specific place. Calgary’s Chauffeur confirms such a theory. His debut EP on Top Billin features 5 tunes showcasing his Electro and House sensibilities. ‘The Things You Do’ and ‘To Make Her Smile’ are the picks of the bunch and are reminiscent of Justice’s work from 2007. ‘You Know What To Do’ bangs with it’s piercing synths and machine gun drums. Each track on the EP is fit for the dancefloor respectively and maintains that term (which admittedly gets used alot on here) of an ‘Electro banger’.
Regardless of what you call this style, when you think about it, that’s what most punters want when they hit the club regardless of what country you live in.
